Privacy Notice
How we handle the personal information you share with the Northern Virginia Dementia Support & Workplace Alliance.
Last updated: August 3, 2026
The site is currently informational. Online registration is not yet active, so we are not collecting personal information through this website at this time. This notice describes our practices for when registration opens, and will be reviewed and finalized before that happens.
The Northern Virginia Dementia Support & Workplace Alliance (“NVDSA,” “we,” “us”) is a program of My Natural Me, supported by a grant from the Potomac Health Foundation. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to support caregivers and employers.
Information we collect
When online registration opens, we expect to collect:
- Caregivers, name, email address, phone number (optional), ZIP code, and the session you select.
- Employers, organization name, sector, size, and ZIP code; and your coordinator’s name, job title, email, and phone number.
- Account holders, email address and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider (we never see your password).
How we use your information
- To process registrations and provide training, certification, and portal access.
- To communicate with you about sessions, your certification, and the program.
- To meet grant-reporting obligations, using aggregate or de-identified figures wherever possible.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How we store and protect it
Information is stored in a secured, access-controlled database hosted in the United States. Access is restricted to authorized staff, and controls are in place so each organization and person can only reach their own records. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
How we share it
- With service providers who help us operate the program (for example, our database and email-delivery providers), under their own terms.
- Aggregate or de-identified statistics may be shared with our funder for reporting.
- When required by law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed to run the program and meet grant-reporting requirements, then delete or de-identify it under our data-retention policy (currently being finalized).
Analytics and tracking
We do not use advertising trackers or the Meta Pixel. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that measures aggregate site traffic such as page views, referring sites, and general region. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect any information that identifies you personally. Because it sets no cookies and does not profile visitors, it requires no consent banner.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the program evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
